Beyond Religion

Beyond Religion is a guide to having a tangible and authentic relationship with God. It teaches readers to go beyond the confines of empty religion and tradition to experience Him in a personal way that will prove to be life changing. While it is Biblically based and thoroughly cited, it challenges some of the norms and traditions that have been passed down throughout church history creating the modern culture of mainstream Christianity. This is also done by highlighting the Hebraic origins of the faith and how a complete departure from it has proven problematic. The book is divided into three parts: Part 1 discusses church history while also providing a foundational understanding of religion vs relationship. Part 2 goes in depth to expose the hindrances that keep Believers from growing in their connection to their Creator. Part 3 gives clear and easy to follow directives on how to actually facilitate a real relationship with God using spiritual disciplines. While these disciplines are tried and true, they are presented with a fresh perspective and appropriate motives that will actually yield results. Weaved throughout the book is a central theme which emphasizes that an intimate relationship with God inevitably leads us to a deeper understanding of our own identity and the specific reason(s) for which He created us individually. This revelation will leave readers better equipped in knowing and living out their unique purpose on Earth.
