Georgette has been abused her whole life and accepts a proposal to be a mail order bride out West. But she's pregnant and can only hope her new husband can be accepting of her and her baby. Nicholas is surprised that she's pregnant, but remains true to his cowboy code of honor and vows to raise the child as his own. But Georgette is skittish around him and Nicholas starts to slowly gain her trust. But as the two grow in their marriage, the vicious father of her baby arrives in town.
